Six-Month RRP Men's Group

A Place for Men to Do the Work That Changes Everything

Many men have spent their entire lives learning to be strong, capable, independent, and successful. But underneath the accomplishments and responsibilities, many also carry old wounds—feelings of not being good enough, loneliness, shame, anger, grief, or the belief that they must handle everything alone. Some recognize that their emotional struggles and reoccurring relationship failures stem from their dysfunctional family modeling.

The first group we ever belonged to was our family. The ways we learned to survive, gain approval, avoid conflict, or protect ourselves as children often become the unconscious patterns we bring into our adult relationships.

This six-month men's group offers a safe and structured environment to understand those patterns, explore the roots of them, begin healing the past and making different choices.

What We Explore

Together we look at:

  • Childhood experiences and dysfunctional family conditioning

  • The impact of criticism, emotional neglect, or unrealistic expectations

  • Why we become triggered in present-day relationships

  • The connection between our past wounds and current struggles

  • Patterns around anger, withdrawal, perfectionism, people-pleasing, caretaking, or difficulty expressing needs

  • How to develop a stronger, more compassionate relationship with ourselves

Through education, group process, and practical tools from the Relationship Recovery Project (RRP), members learn to recognize when old pain is driving present reactions and how to respond from their adult self.

Why Work in a Group?

Uncovering the original wounds inflicted by toxic family systems is done in group or relational work because those wounds happened in relationship—and healing happens in relationship as well.

A group allows men to feel less alone through identifying similar experiences with one another. Listening to others' formative experiences within those toxic family systems often gives us permission to tell the truth. The honesty, accountability, and connection that develops among members can become a powerful experience of being seen, understood, and accepted.

Who This Group Is For

This group is for men who are willing to look inward and ask deeper questions:

  • Why do I react the way I do?

  • Why do I struggle with intimacy or vulnerability?

  • Why do I become angry, defensive, withdrawn, or shut down?

  • Why do I repeat the same patterns in relationships?

  • Why do I feel successful on the outside but unsettled on the inside?

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from this work. Many members are high-functioning men who have built successful lives but recognize that old emotional patterns formed by the dysfunctional family systems they were raised in continue to affect their relationships, self-worth, and ability to feel fully connected.

The Commitment

Meaningful change takes time. This is not a quick-fix approach.

The group meets weekly for six months, allowing enough time to build trust, learn the RRP concepts, practice new tools, and experience the healing that comes from consistent connection with others doing the same work.

Members are asked to attend regularly, participate honestly, and approach themselves and others with openness and respect.

Begin Your Journey

If you are curious about whether this group is right for you, I invite you to complete the intake form or schedule a consultation.

Healing begins with the willingness to look honestly at your story and tell the truth about what happened.

You do not have to do this work alone.
